- Happy Friday junior! ✨ Today was great cause it was leg day!!! 🍑 I really loved doing these combo sets cause they really started to burn after awhile. Today i focused more on low weight and high reps and oh boy does that get hard! I added a step platform just so i could go deeper in some moves and to add some step ups! I even got a little creative and made up the fourth exercise! 😊 That’s what’s so fun about working out because you have the ability to make you own moves so your don’t get bored just doing the same repetitive exercises! 1️⃣ Wide stance deadlift - Your feet are past shoulder width part, hands are holding the bar about shoulder width apart, keep your back straight, squeeze at the top! 2️⃣ Straight leg deadlift - Really important to keep a straight back the entire time! Keep your neck in alignment with your back as well. The straighter your legs are the more of a stretch you will get! (But always maintain a little bit of a bend in your knees) 3️⃣ Curtsy lunges with a step up - This is all about balance. If you don’t have the best balance i suggest not using the bar the first couple of times just so you can get the hang of it! Your back leg is going to go diagonal behind you not straight back (like a curtsy!) Really focus on pushing through the front foot and remaining stability. 4️⃣ NEW - I don’t have a name for this cause i just came up with it on the spot! Start standing on the platform with your feet just a few inches apart, squat down to about 3/4 the way down, then step your feet down off the platform one at a time staying at a 3/4’s position, then squat all the way down till you tap your bum on the platform, come up to a 3/4’s position, step your feet back on the platform holding the position, once your feet are on stand up all the way and repeat! 5️⃣ Split lunges - I like to have a very wide lunge because i feel it the best when i do that. Focus on only bending and straightening your front leg. Your back leg is just for stability and balance. This is also an exercise that requires good balance as well as hip flexibility!
